Other Projects, Hobbies, and Volunteer Work
University Projects
Here are a list of school related projects I have done at Northwestern. Feel free to reach out if you would like more information on any of them.

Although I would prefer something in physical product design, I enjoy learning new things and am open to other types of design roles such as service, experience, or strategy. I included the projects below to show the breadth of experience I've had and skills I've developed in my program.
AI Playbook
-
Worked with a team using Figma to assemble from scratch a playbook that explores the ways AI can be used for each step of the design process, gives examples of AI tools, and discusses the risks of AI.
-
Personally focused on the “build” step where AI can be used for visualization, prototyping, and optimization.
Fall 2024
Drawing with Sugar
-
Used a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller (coded in CircuitPython using Mu Editor) to create an art piece where a robotic arm draws in sugar to accompany a performer.
-
Programmed in Isadora to create and project real time special effects based on the movements of the performer.
Spring 2024
The Comfort Pawd
-
Learned about product management by working with a pet safety start-up that incorporated temperature control into a carrier.
-
With a team, wrote a product requirements document (PRD) and market requirements document (MRD) as well as created personas and compiled a model, view, and control (MVC) document.
Spring 2024
Find My Wheelchair
Winter 2024
-
Explored the Northwestern Medicine outpatient clinic’s service blueprint and researched the lack of accessibility available for people with disabilities to enter the facilities.
-
Created a tracking system for the clinic’s wheelchairs to ensure that staff always know their locations.
Electric Vehicle Safety App Design
Winter 2024
-
Learned about UI/UX by using Figma to design an app that activated safety features for a fictional electric vehicle company.
Strategy for a Sports Apparel Company
-
Worked with a team to learn design strategy by theoretically designing for a popular sports apparel company.
-
Used SET factors to conduct secondary research. Conducted primary research in store, with subject matter experts, and with athletes in an athletic setting.
-
Determined targeted, overlooked, and untapped consumer segments, insights, and how might we’s based on research. Created a collection of “step, stretch, and leap” business ideas to target each customer group.
Fall 2024
Brand Design for Radiant Reach Toys
-
Designed brand language, created a brand brief, chose colors and fonts, and explored packaging styles for a theoretical toy company that helps children with autism engage in play designed for them.
Spring 2024
Gut Check and Manifesto
-
Incorporated learnings about design ethics into a list of consideration questions to ask myself before accepting a project.
-
Created a personal manifesto of my values as a designer.
Fall 2023, Spring 2024
Firepit
Winter 2024
-
Learned techniques in metal working such as cutting with a water jet and welding.
Sustainable Product Design
-
Worked with Procter and Gamble to design a more sustainable physical product for men’s grooming.
-
An NDA prevents specific discussion on the resulting product, but the process used human centered design
principles to conduct consumer research, create prototypes, and design/build a product.
Fall 2023
Hobbies and Volunteer

Stage Lead with the production (audio/visual) team at People Church and at Paws and Claws Cat Rescue.

I created a puzzle for my mom by drawing it in Illustrator, cutting it with a laser cutter, painting the top, and sanding it.

I like to crochet and have made blankets, amigurumi, and even a giant raccoon.
*I did not create the axolotl and raccoon patterns
Pictures of my cats because I love them
