Education

2023 - 2025

Northwestern University

Master's Degree in Engineering Design and Innovation (EDI)

GPA = 3.7 / 4.0

In this program, I have taken many classes that have built my skills as a human centered designer.

While I have found that my passion is in creating physical products, I have been able to explore and gain a knowledge base in research, service design, interaction design, product management, design strategy, and more.

I have thoroughly explored the design process through activities such as synthesizing both primary and secondary research into frameworks, creating prototypes for validation testing, and constructing CAD models to be 3D printed.

2018 - 2022

University of Virginia

Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering

Graduated with distinction

GPA = 3.6 / 4.0

During this time, I aquired foundational knowledge in engineering that has helped me as a designer to think analytically and consider feasibility and functionality in my designs.

Work Experience

2024

Workshop Safety, Organization, and Education Designer

Segal Workshop at Northwestern

I spent the summer break during my graduate program working for the Segal workshop at Northwestern.

Here, my team and I conducted research with shop staff and students as well as visited another university workshop. We determined that the current disorganization and tool misuse problem was due a lack of basic tool education and clearly marked storage space.

Therefore, we designed a table to store basic hand tools with a board on top that was used to interact with and learn about the tools below. We also included a handbook to be kept with the table that gives uses and instructions for each tool in more detail.

2024

Design Coach

Northwestern

I worked in an industrial design class for undergraduates where I assisted them with their projects, held office hours, and acted as a liaison between the students and professor.

2022 - 2023

Biomedical Technician

Agiliti

My primary responsibilities were to repair broken or malfunctioning hospital equipment – mainly Alaris pumps and V60 ventilators. I also performed preventative maintenance on medical equipment, worked both in the warehouse and at hospitals, and built up the biomed supply inventory.
